Automotive Service Technicians and Mechanics fix cars or light trucks. They must be able to find the source of the problem quickly and correctly. Today it is a high technology job. Cars and trucks today are run by electronic systems and computers. The computers tell the Automotive Service Technicians and Mechanics how well the car or truck is performing.
Automotive - Motor Body
Motor Body workers repair damage to metal, fibreglass and plastic bodywork on vehicles. Vehicle painters prepare surfaces of vehicles, match and mix colours, and apply primer and finishing coats of paint. You will remove rough spots on vehicle panels and sand surfaces using hand or power tools, carry out masking procedures, colour match and mix paints, apply primer and finishing coats and polish and wax the finished paint work.
Electrical Trades
